Monday Moodboards- Back to Nature - 4th May
This week's Monday Moodboard is 'back to nature' inspired in the designs, colours, patterns and materials. There's a mixture of glassware, linens, cutlery, candles and a few extras that I've generally fallen in love with. On the theme of nature, I've been having a go at some natural dyeing of my own this week - using avocado skins and stones I'd saved up. The result was a gorgeous dark salmon/pink colour and it's inspired me to look further into using other botanics. For anyone looking for a simple introduction to the process, try this book on Amazon by Rebecca Desnos- recommended to my by a friend.
Glassware - coloured recycled glassware forms the majority of the shelf space in my kitchen cupboards! A few of my favourite recent glassware finds below...
Linens - I've found some beautiful ,naturally-dyed linens this week by fellow florist Me & My Bloomers along with these floral print, patterned tablecloths below....
Plates - I went on a 2 week long van trip around Portugal at the end of last Summer and in-between lazy days on the beach and BBQ's at sunset we made lots of little stops into their amazing Portugese ceramic studios - so many beautiful pieces.
For anyone as obsessed with colour as I am - the Dibbern website is a DREAM. Plates in every colour immaginable.
Cutlery - I've been looking for bamboo cutlery like these listed below for what seems like FOREVER.
I'm still yet to find a set I can afford and have all alerts set on Ebay so as soon as I find some, I'll update this page with more options!
Candles - I feel like I've been posting about these candles non-stop but I truly am obsessed with the beautiful handmade candles from Wax Atelier. These green tea celebration candles are so delicate and thin. They are much thinner than a normal candle holder so worth thinking about how you will style them and stand them up- perhaps in a vessel with some sand/grains or small stones.
Extras - a few fun bits and pieces I've seen this week to style your home!
I also came across this mega brand called Swedish Ninja who make beautiful lights and sculptural accessories
