'Evening Landscape I' by Olive Guest 2023

Artist and co-founder of @Glebehouse in East Devon, Olive's talent knows no bounds. 

The Evening Landscape pair are part of an exploration of paintings that represent a village or community that live harmoniously with the landscape. This pair is specifically inspired by the light during this time of year when evenings are setting in earlier and there is particular comfort that can be found in home.

Her work is naïve in style and charged with energy, texture and playfulness. Her liberal use of oil paint and mixed media is designed to create a sense of depth and she is continually exploring how composition and colour can evoke feeling. Her pieces aim to elevate the everyday and bring soulfulness to people’s homes.
